The first and most important lesson about stars and planets is that they are up there and worthy of wonder, hence the name “Astronomy 1.” There was also the idea of sky coming to earth through a child, filling and spilling or coursing through like a current. The boy is a ski slope for all that is above him. The girl is a sky-catching basket. Both hopefully express wonder and fear, the kind that blows you away while it makes joyful, a wrapped and intense draw to well-being felt in the midst of immense enigmas.
